40-year-old man dies following single all-terrain vehicle crash

A 40-year-old man from Point de Bute has died following a single all-terrain vehicle (ATV) crash in Midgic, N.B.

On May 15, 2026, at approximately 6:40 a.m., members of the Sackville RCMP responded to a report of an ATV crash at the intersection of Brooklyn Rd and Goose Lake Rd in Midgic. 

The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver of the ATV, travelling southbound, failed to negotiate a turn at the intersection and struck a tree. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the ATV died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

The New Brunswick coroner, members of the Sackville Fire Department, and Ambulance New Brunswick also attended the scene. 

A New Brunswick RCMP collision reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the man’s exact cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
