47-year-old man dies following single-motorcycle crash

A 47-year-old man from Upper Kent, N.B., has died following a single-motorcycle crash in Upper Kent, New Brunswick.

On May 21, 2026, at approximately 4:50 a.m., members of the Western Valley Region RCMP Region Detachment responded to a report of an overdue traveler in Upper Kent. When police arrived in the area, they located the driver and sole occupant of a motorcycle in the ditch along with the motorcycle. The driver died at the scene as a result of his injuries. 

The crash is believed to have occurred when the motorcycle, travelling northbound on the NB trail running parallel to Route 105, lost control and landed in the ditch.

Members of the Bath Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, and the New Brunswick Coroner’s office attended the scene. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the man’s exact cause of death. 

The investigation is ongoing.
