On June 10, 2026, at approximately 9:57 p.m., members of the Saint-Léonard RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Route 2, in Saint-Basile.

The collision is believed to have occurred when a transport truck, travelling eastbound, failed to stop and collided with the rear-end of a car.
