The Chaleur Region RCMP is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 89-year-old man from the Duguayville, N.B., area.

Jesus Garcia De Palau was last seen on June 21, 2026, at approximately 1 p.m., near Shippagan. He was reported missing to police on June 29 at approximately 10 a.m. 

On the morning of June 29, police received a report of an abandoned vehicle stuck in the mud on a trail at the end of Gloucester Junction Road in Bathurst. Police determined that the vehicle belongs to Jesus Garcia De Palau, however, there was no sign of him at the scene. Police have followed up on several leads to try and locate him but have so far been unsuccessful. Police and his family are concerned for his wellbeing. 

Jesus Garcia De Palau is described as being approximately five feet seven inches (170 centimetres) tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds (82 kilograms). He has gray hair and blue eyes. A clothing description is not available at this time.
