Update, July 9, 2026: The 51-year-old man from Esgenoopetitj First Nation, N.B., who was reported missing to police on July 7, 2026, has been located deceased. Our thoughts are with the man’s family, friends and community at this time.

The Neguac RCMP is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 51-year-old man from Esgenoopetitj First Nation.

He was last seen on July 5, 2026, near Bayview Drive, in Esgenoopetitj First Nation. He was reported missing to police on July 7, 2026. Police have followed up on several leads to try and locate him, but have so far been unsuccessful. Police and his family are concerned for his wellbeing.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Néguac RCMP at 506-776-3000.
