Two individuals dead following single-vehicle crash

An 18-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man, both from Grand Manan, N.B., have died following a single-vehicle crash in Woodwards Cove, N.B.

On July 18, 2026, at approximately 2:11 a.m., members of the Grand Manan RCMP Detachment responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Route 776 in Woodwards Cove.

The crash is believed to have occurred when the vehicle crossed the centre line, left the roadway, and entered a wooded area.

The driver, an 18-year-old woman from Grand Manan, and the passenger, a 21-year-old man, also from Grand Manan, died at the scene as a result of their injuries.

Members of the Grand Manan Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick and the New Brunswick Coroner's Office also attended the scene.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
