RCMP investigating following altercation in Moncton

The Codiac Regional RCMP is investigating an altercation involving multiple individuals that occurred in Moncton, N.B. 

On July 18, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report of an ongoing altercation in a parking lot at a business on Mountain Road in Moncton, involving multiple individuals.

Investigators have identified the individuals believed to have been involved and continue to gather information to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As part of the investigation, police are also working to determine whether hate was a factor in the incident. The RCMP takes all reports of hate-motivated incidents seriously and remains committed to conducting a thorough investigation to establish all the facts.

A video of the altercation has been circulating on social media. Investigators are aware of the video and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or who has additional information or video footage that has not yet been shared with police to contact the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400.
