RCMP seeking public’s help following hit and run collision

The Sackville RCMP is asking for the public’s help following a hit and run collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian near Sackville, N.B.

On August 6, 2026, at approximately 4:50 a.m., members of the Sackville RCMP detachment responded to a report of a hit and run collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Route 2, near kilometre marker 495, in Sackville. When police arrived, they located an injured man. He was transported to hospital with what were believed to be life-threatening injuries.  

Police have followed up on several leads to try to identify the vehicle involved and are asking for the public’s help to further the investigation. 

If you witnessed the hit and run collision on the morning of August 6, stopped at the scene, or were travelling westbound in the area at the time of the incident or have dash cam footage of the incident, please contact the Sackville RCMP at 506-364-5023. The investigation is ongoing.
