RCMP looking to identify three individuals following theft

Update, September 2, 2026:  The three individuals involved in a theft in Dieppe have since been identified. The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance. 

The Codiac Regional RCMP is asking for the public's help identifying three individuals following a theft in Dieppe, N.B.

On June 5, 2026, between 8:35 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. on Lafayette Street, four individuals allegedly stole a smartphone from a victim who was attempting to sell the device. One of the suspects grabbed the phone and fled on foot with the three other individuals into a nearby walking trail. Police believe the suspects subsequently attempted to resell the stolen phone online.

Police have since arrested a 19-year-old man from Moncton, N.B., in relation to this incident. He was later released and is scheduled to appear in court on September 22, 2026. 

The RCMP is now releasing surveillance video photos of other three individuals and is hoping information from the public will help identify them.
