27-year-old man dies following single-motorcycle crash

A 27-year-old man from the LSD of Drummond, N.B., has died following a single-motorcycle crash in the community.

On September 12, 2026, at approximately 6:30 a.m., members of the Saint-Léonard RCMP detachment responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Sutherland Brook Road in the LSD of Drummond. When police arrived in the area, they located the driver and sole occupant of the motorcycle off the road. The driver died at the scene as a result of his injuries. 

The crash is believed to have occurred when the motorcycle, travelling east on Sutherland Brook Road, was going around a curve when he lost control of the motorcycle and left the road. Upon further investigation, police determined that the motorcycle had been stolen from a residence in Saint-André earlier that night. 

Members of Ambulance New Brunswick, and the New Brunswick Coroner’s office attended the scene. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the man’s exact cause of death and a RCMP Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
