Today, the Codiac Regional RCMP officially opened their new detachment, marking a significant step forward in enhancing public safety and community policing in Moncton, Dieppe and Riverview.

Located on Albert Street, this modern policing facility will serve as a central hub for law enforcement operations. The detachment is equipped with new infrastructure, expanded office space, and upgraded technology to support frontline officers and administrative staff.

“The opening of this new detachment represents a vital investment in the future of public safety for the communities we serve”, said Commanding Officer Matco Sirotic. “Thoughtfully designed, the facility provides the much-needed space and resources to support our employees as we continue to evolve and adapt to the growing needs of policing. It reflects our ongoing commitment to modern, responsive policing and to fostering strong partnerships with the people we serve.”

“This building is the culmination of many years of work and collaboration between the RCMP, CRPA, and the municipalities of Moncton, Dieppe, and Riverview. It will give employees a facility that will enable them with the tools, technology, and environment they need to protect public,” said Codiac RCMP’s Superintendent Benoit Jolette. “It also provides the community assurance that our public safety infrastructure is keeping up with their needs.”

The opening ceremony was attended by RCMP Commissioner Mike Duheme, Commanding Officer Matco Sirotic, RCMP Pipes and Drums, local officials, and community leaders. The event highlighted the importance of community partnerships in effective policing.
