RCMP Major Crimes Unit announces arrest of David Faucher

RCMP Newfoundland and Labrador’s Major Crimes Unit can confirm that 30-year-old David Faucher has been arrested by the Saskatchewan Marshals Service.

Faucher was the subject of a Canada-wide warrant after he was charged with first degree murder earlier this year in connection to the 2023 homicide of Franz Drosch. Arrangements are currently being made to return him to Newfoundland and Labrador. 

RCMP Newfoundland and Labrador extends its sincere thanks to the Saskatchewan Marshals Service and Saskatchewan RCMP for their assistance. 

To ensure the integrity of this ongoing investigation, no additional details are being shared publicly at this time, however, we anticipate providing an additional update when it is appropriate to do so.
