UPDATE: Yellowknife RCMP execute early-morning search warrant

Further to a June 13th press release, Yellowknife RCMP have charged 22-year-old Bilal Mohamed Ismail of Alberta with:

• Being unlawfully at large, contrary to section 145(1) of the Criminal Code

At the time of his arrest, he was subject to a Canada-Wide warrant for a parole violation. He appeared before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded into custody.

The other arrested persons were released without charge.

This investigation remains ongoing. The involved parties are known to each other and the matter has been tied to the illicit drug trade in Yellowknife.
