Yellowknife RCMP arrest prolific offender in relation to commercial break and enters

On February 12, 2026, Yellowknife RCMP responded to two separate break and enters that occurred only hours apart at Boston Pizza in Yellowknife.
Through investigation, police identified a single suspect as being responsible for both incidents. He was located at an apartment building and subsequently arrested. He has been charged with:
• (2 counts) Breaking and entering, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
• Failure to comply with a release order, contrary to section 145(5)(a) of the Criminal Code
• Resisting arrest, contrary to section 129(a) of the Criminal Code
At the time of the alleged offences, the suspect was bound by a release order issued just two days prior on February 10, 2026. This release order encompassed a number of charges, including assault, uttering threats, failure to comply with court orders and assaulting a police officer.
The suspect was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.
