The suspect in a breaking and entering investigation.

The Fort Providence RCMP is requesting public assistance in identifying a suspect in relation to a breaking and entering investigation.

On February 2nd, 2026, the Fort Providence RCMP received a call for service in relation to breaking and entering in a residence.

Between midnight and 1:30 a.m., on February 2nd, a suspect entered the residence through a window. No occupants were in the residence at the time.

The Fort Providence RCMP started an investigation and obtained video surveillance from the residence. Still images of the suspect, wearing a balaclava, a tuque and a black coat, were recovered.

The Fort Providence RCMP hopes that members of the public will recognize the suspect and come forward, which could assist with the investigation.
