Yellowknife RCMP execute search warrant at 57th street residence

A search warrant was executed by Yellowknife RCMP as part of a police operation on Friday, May 8th.

As part of an ongoing Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation, Yellowknife RCMP’s General Investigation Section, with support from the Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services and other resources, executed a search warrant at a residence on 57th street.

During the operation, access to the street was restricted to ensure public safety.

Seven people were arrested from the residence, including one individual who was already wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant. During the search, evidence of drug trafficking and a quantity of cash was located and seized.

All arrested people were later released without charge. The individual subject to the arrest warrant was released to appear in court at a later date for existing charges.
