Person reported missing in Yellowknife located deceased

Yellowknife RCMP are saddened to report that Johnny Jr. Ningeongan, who had been reported missing to police on May 31st, was located deceased on June 2nd.

The matter is being investigated by the Northwest Territories Coroner’s Service with assistance from the RCMP. The Coroner’s Service has been in communication with Mr. Ningeongan’s family in Nunavut and an autopsy has been ordered.

The RCMP wishes to thank the members of the public who assisted in the search. Our thoughts are with Mr. Ningeongan’s family at this time.
