The search for Jovan Sandhu continues

The search for missing Jovan Sandhu continues, and Inuvik RCMP is now shifting its focus to a recovery operation.

Jovan Sandhu was last seen on Friday, August 7th, at the ferry crossing in Tsiigehtchic.

The search and recovery efforts have been extended to include the Mackenzie River in the areas of Fort McPherson and Tsiigehtchic.

Assistance is being provided by Fort McPherson RCMP, local search and rescue volunteers and community members.

Specialized units, including an Underwater Recovery Team, are also being mobilized.

The RCMP recognizes that these are difficult times for Mr. Sandhu’s family and the impacted communities, and we are doing everything in our power to resolve this case. Thank you to our community partners for their assistance.
