Charges laid in fatal collision on the Alaska Highway

Whitehorse RCMP have laid charges in the fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on the Alaska Highway on August 18, 2026.
At approximately 3:02 pm, Whitehorse Detachment received a report of a head on motor vehicle collision on the Alaska Highway between the Crestview subdivision and Cousins Airfield Road. Two vehicles were involved in the collision.
Nicolas Tselios, 32, has been charged with- Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle Causing Death. He is scheduled to appear in court in Whitehorse on August 27.
The Yukon RCMP extend their sincere condolences to all those impacted by this incident.
The investigation is ongoing and as this matter is now before the courts, the Yukon RCMP will not be providing any further information at this time.
