Clairmont RCMP requesting public assistance in motor vehicle collision investigation - Update

Clairmont, Alta. - On May 8, 2026, just after 9 p.m., Clairmont RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Highway 666, between Highway 40 and Grovedale, Alta. The 30-year-old Stony Plain, resident, who was taken to the hospital, has since succumbed to thier injuries. Information from the public has revealed that a newer model grey F350 may have witnessed the incident. The vehicle was pulled over on the side of Highway 666, near O’Brien Provincial Park, between 9 and 9:20 p.m. 

Clairmont RCMP sends their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and thanks the members of the public who have given information thus far.

Those who were in that vehicle, or members of the public who can identify the vehicle or have dashcam footage of that area are asked to please come forward.
