Maskwacis RCMP charge male with firearms offences after flight from police – Update

Maskwacis, Alta. - On June 2, 2026, at 3:29 p.m., Maskwacis RCMP was proactively patrolling Samson townsite, when an officer observed a male identified as Nathan Eagle walking on the road.  While police were exiting their vehicles to effect an arrest, Nathan Eagle fled on foot. RCMP pursued and arrested him a short distance away.  

All of Eagles warrants were executed, and he was additionally charged with resisting arrest.

After a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, Eagle was remanded into custody with the next court appearance in Alberta Court of Justice in Wetaskiwin on June 4, 2026.  

Maskwacis RCMP would like to thank the public for the information received on Nathan’s where abouts, which assisted RCMP in locating him.
