Cochrane RCMP charge individual for breach of conditions

Mini Thni, Alta. – On June 9, 2026, Cochrane RCMP received a complaint that a 35-year-old resident of Okotoks, may have breached their release conditions. 

On June 3, 2026, the Integrated Child Exploitation unit released that they had charged the individual with possessing and accessing child sexual abuse materials. At this time, after a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, they were released on numerous conditions and to attend court in August. 

Cochrane RCMP investigated the complaint and on June 11, 2026, a warrant for the arrest of the individual was obtained. On June 16, 2026, the individual was arrested on their warrant in High River, Alta. After a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, the individual was remanded into custody to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Cochrane on June 23, 2026.
