Brooks RCMP investigating suspicious incident involving incendiary devices-update

Brooks, Alta. – On Aug. 2, 2026, at approximately 1:34 a.m., Brooks RCMP responded to a report of mischief and arson at a property on South Shore Drive in Brooks, Alta. 

Brooks RCMP have continued their investigation, and after reviewing CCTV, two vehicles of interest were seen in the area around the time of the offence. 

Brooks RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying one of the vehicles to further the police investigation. 

Suspect vehicle #1 is described as: 

• Pick-up truck; and
• No tailgate.
