The RCMP provides Canadians with information on effective ways to prevent and combat crime by reducing risk factors before crime happens.
We work closely with our partners and stakeholders in the provinces and territories to develop and implement programs that target specific crimes in communities.

Auxiliary constable
Auxiliaries are unarmed, specially training volunteers giving their time to keep our communities safe and enhance community policing and crime prevention initiatives.
Centre for Youth Crime Prevention
The Centre offers tools to help police officers, parents, teachers and other educators inform youth ages 13 to 21 on various crime and victimization topics.
Community constables
Through engaging their home communities in active crime prevention and reduction activities, Community Constables play a key role building positive relationships between their community and the RCMP.
Cybercrime
We fight cybercrime to protect Canadians online and keep data secure.
Relationship violence
Working with partner organizations and local communities to develop tools to help the public and police better recognize, prevent and respond to elder abuse.
Scams and frauds
Learn how to protect yourself from scams and frauds, and how to report them.
Volunteer programs
Helping our detachments in the successful delivery of important community policing services. Our volunteers develop friendships, gain experience and skills, and challenge themselves.
